About HKOES

The Hong Kong Optical Engineering Society (HKOES), formerly the Hong Kong Chapter of the SPIE was launched on the 11th of April 2008 as a new, independent professional Society.

Through a range of events including seminars, local and regional conferences, training, research and exhibitions on optical engineering; it aims to encourage knowledge exchange and interaction in industry, promote emerging technologies to application and advocate continual learning.

 

Objectives

• To facilitate optics technology advancement, development and collaboration between industries and institutions in China and Hong Kong

• To foster the communication, interaction and co-operation among members and manufacturers and to enable high-quality information sharing and high value-added product development and professional services providing

• To assist local optical engineers and manufacturers in upgrading their technology, engineering, and managerial skills of the industry so as to sustain their niche position and enhance their competitiveness in the international market
